We would like to thank everyone who has written in. Our guides really appreciate your encouraging comments and it sure means a lot to them to know that they've been doing something worthwhile.
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Singapore a highlight of which was the walking tours we did with Geraldine of Little India and the Friday Secret of the Red Lanterns walk. What an interesting, enlightening and happy person Geraldine is.
Congratulations to all concerned may your success continue - we have certainly made a point of recommending them to our travel agent in Perth .

Hi Guys,
Thought it worth sending a brief note of thanks and appreciation for the "performance" of the tour guides we met during our recent visit to Singapore, when Val and I had the privilege of attending some of your walking tours; Sultans of Spice (12th Oct). On Forbidden Ground (17th Oct). Red Clogs Down the Five-Foot-Way (12th Oct).
We had a fantastic time on the tours; the guides were superb, very professional and exceptionally knowledgeable. They managed a fine balance between entertaining and educating us, encouraging audience participation through fielding questions and listening to our observations. Their tremendous interest, passion and empathy with their respective subjects were very apparent.
My manager is visiting Singapore next month, so I have recommended The Original Singapore Walks as a "must do".
All the best

Dear Razeen
I want to thank you for your tour conducted on Saturday June 24th. My husband John (McFarland), my father Graham (McGarvie) and I were part of a small group who did the Changi tour on that Saturday, before departing for Australia to spend a few weeks there before returning to Singapore where John and I have resided since January.
The three of us were so impressed with your commentary on the tour that we felt it was important to let you know that you are ranked Number One in our eyes and minds for the best tour guide we have ever had the pleasure to 'go on tour' with. My father Graham is in his mid-seventies and we are in our mid-forties, hence we have done a lot of tours in various locations over the years and your ability to relate factual information and answer questions was second to none. We were very taken with the relaxed atmosphere you created and your great sense of humour which appealed to everyone present.
Your tour also inspired us to read more about the fall of Singapore and World War 2 and so we are reading 'Hellfire' by Cameron Forbes. It is an excellent read and we would highly recommend it to you. We are still working our way through it but thoroughly enjoying it.
You probably don't remember us but we will never forget you.
Kind Regards
Jacqueline (McFarland), John (McFarland) and Graham (McGarvie)
Hi there,
I did the 'Sultans' walk yesterday with Savita. She made it very enjoyable, full of infromation and fun and someone I would recomend highly as a guide. I will also recommend the company to friends and will participate myself again.
Thanks and kind regards
Anna
Hi,
I would like to thank you very much for the great experience of the walking tour through Little India. I enjoyed it very much. I go quite often to Singapore and on my next visit I will join a tour again.

Savita, you are a fantastic guide, we all enjoyed it so much, and we are so sorry for keeping you much longer than we should have! NOT. Not sorry at all, actually, it was so good we didn't really want to let you go! Anna and I had lunch after (at the place where you suggested, corner of Muscat and Kandahar ), and we loved the food there. Have been to several of the eateries around there, but this one's always been so crowded I'd never got a space (before I knew about the upstairs.) Food was absolutely great, some of the best local food I've had in Singapore . And by the way, upstairs is actually aircon now, so a nice place to cool down for hot walkers. Three of the group joined us a bit later for lunch.
Thanks for a wonderful day, with heaps of learning even for us who've lived here a while. And Savita looks much prettier in real life than in the brochure!!
See you soon again, all the best!
Regards
Sissel (Corneliussen)
Just a quick email to thank you for a wonderful time. Your walks brought the culture and history of Singapore to colour for me. I never would have found half of the places you took me to on my own. All of the guides are great, kind and ever helpful. It was a great fun.

My daughter Maryanne and I have recently returned from a wonderful holiday in Singapore and I want to thank you for being part of that holiday. We enjoyed both our tours so much. Geraldine was our guide for both tours and we can't heap enough praise on her... she was so knowledgable, enthusiastic, thoughtful and kind. We took the Chinatown Walk and the Little India Walk and I was extremely lucky on my previous holiday in 2004 to be guided on "Forbidden Ground" by the one and only Jeya when the walk was on Sunday mornings. I hope to return on holidays again and will definately be joining your groups for the very very very best guided walks I have ever taken.
Yours Most Sincerely
Julie King
I joined Monday's "Time of Empire" Walk on 4/24 with Helena. It was an eye-opening experience for me.
It was interesting, exciting. Now I am back home in Japan , and am trying to find more about your country. You are a small country but have lots to tell.
Thank you very much.

I just wanted to offer you some very positive feedback from the walk led by Geraldine. I enjoyed every minute of it. Geraldine was immensely well informed and charming and made the whole walk a very memorable experience.
As she promised, all the senses were involved and we did things which it would have been difficult to do by yourself.
Very best wishes

I have taken tours like this in many countries. The Singapore Walks are among the best I have ever taken. In 2005 I took probably 8 of them. If I get the chance I will take the rest. I found the guides to be exceptionally well-informed, frequently pointing out things I'll bet most Singaporeans are unaware of. My personal favorites so far are "The World War II Battlefield tour" and "The Secrets of the Red Lantern".
