I had a wonderful time on "The Time of Empire" walk on March 26th. Razeen, I really enjoyed the depth of your knowledge and your fantastic sense of humor. I'm coming back for another tour in August, I hope! Thanks again for a terrific adventure.

Kristin

A little note from Molly and Alain Morizon who had a fun and informative walk with Razeen on 26 Feb. Mr. "Ladies and Gentlemen" Razeen was a delight for us and we look forward to another walk with him next time in Singapore. Lovely. thank you.

Helena 's knowledge of the history of Singapore is encyclopaedic and she engages very well indeed with her listeners. We were very grateful indeed for all that she was able to share with us. It made the visit so much more worthwhile.

Needless to say, I will be happy to recommend Singapore Walks to other visitors to Singapore.

with very best wishes

Helena was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, and organized with all of her materials. I will definitely be bringing my friends on the Singapore Walks and will keep my fingers crossed that Helena will be waiting for us when we get there!!!

I wish to commend The Original Singapore Walks and the guides for their preparation, research, hard work and talent.  They allowed my sister and me to discover in greater depth many facets of this marvelous city. I had done tours with other operators previously. I learned a lot more with TOSW and enjoyed myself much more.

I wish to praise all the guides who were well organized and obviously love this vibrant city: Helena, Geraldine, Joo Ling, Hemlata and Razeen.

Dear SG Walking Tours,

I don't recall the tour guides name for the Little India Tour today, 17/01/07 but she was very informative and pleasant. As always, I enjoy the tours and informal concept.

Kindest Regards,

This month, February 2007, I had the good fortune to be in Singapore once more and had the opportunity to join the Battlefield Tour. Our guide was Helena Poon who proved to be a very knowledgeable historian and with a sterling personality that made all the participants feel very comfortable and able to discuss or ask question about every aspects of the tour.

The tour took us to the Kranji memorial site as well and once more I felt the same emotional impact that I had experienced on my first visit there. It is a very difficult place to visit and remain unmoved at the enormity of the human tragedy that Singapore suffered and at various locations during the tour Helena added new knowledge and insight to the era that began for Singapore on the fateful day of 15 Feb '42 and ended with the surrender of the Japanese forces on 12 Sep '45.

Thank you again Helena for presenting an interesting and knowledgeable insight to Singapore 's history during World War II.

Regards

Dear Hemlata,

Thank you very much for all the interesting information you gave us on The Battlefield Tour (20th. Dec.) and A Kampong Glam Walk ( 21st. Dec.). You have a gift for telling history in a very clear and interesting way and we very much appreciated all the knowledge you passed on to us.

Dear Singapore Walks,

This is a note to thank you again for a great tour. Yesterday I took my third tour, "Red Clogs Down the Five Foot Way". In the last six months I have also been on the "sultans of Spice" and the "On Forbidden Ground" tours. Each was fabulous! Your guides are very knowledgeable and show their love of living in Singapore . I look forward to my next. I plan to take them all and bring friends along.

Thank you again,
Wendy Wuest

We would just like to thank you all so much for your interesting and informative walks in Singapore .

We did the belly of the Carp with our 17 year-old daughter and the Little India walk with our daughter and our sons too (19 and 21 respectively). I had done both before and really enjoyed them. Everyone enjoyed them this time also and as you know, it takes a bit to keep teenagers interested. My husband was so keen to do the Battlefield tour and learn more about the war time that he set off straight after the Little India tour with Geraldine to get to the next one at 2pm. He would also like to thank Razeen very much as he said it was so interesting and I would also like to thank Geraldine and Savita who both did an outstanding job as well. Last year I did the Arab Street walk with "the girls" and we all loved that one as well.

Hi,

I just wanted to say a big 'Thank you' to Helena for her Chinatown tour today - I had a great time and Helena was a super guide. I loved her stories and she really gave an insight into the area - much more than any book.

I can't wait to bring my guests along next time!!

Thank you once again,

Jo Chladek
